House System

The House system aims to give students an identity and sense of pride in a supportive, secure environment. The Houses provide a positive competition and closer rapport between students and teachers. They also aim to help new staff and students adapt to the culture of the St. Mary’s Central School [CBSE].

Every pupil and staff member at The St. Mary’s Central School [CBSE] is assigned a house. The House system is a long standing tradition that creates competition, promotes good work and behaviour, encourages teamwork, provides opportunities to take on responsibilities and brings everyone in the school together.

In order to develop the competitive edge among the students, the school is divided in to four “Houses”. They are ATHENS,SPARTA,OLYMPIA,AND DELPHI, The Houses compete in a number of sporting, academic and cultural activities for points. Each term the winning House receives the House shield and other prizes.
